Europe is Home to 6,000 New Permanent Jobs Created by Amazon

The U.S. online based retailer, Amazon.com Inc has come up with full-time positions in Europe, totaling up to 6,000 in the year 2014 as a response to the growing demands. In a statement by Amazon, it said that it now employed 32,000 staff of permanent nature in the EU. New job opportunities were being created in customer service, supply chain management and design, logistics centers and software development. 

According to Xavier Garambois, the Amazon vice president for EU retail, they were still investing and looking ahead to fill more positions in 2015. He also said that in Europe, the demands by customers were bigger than ever before. Amazon was quoted as saying that approximately 1,200 new jobs were in Germany which was its second-biggest market after the U.S. These jobs employed more than 10,000 seasonal workers and 10,000 warehouse staff. The next in tow was Britain, with a number of new positions and other countries as well.
