Demand for IT Professionals in Australia on rise: Survey Unveils

Global recruitment consultancy, Robert Walters is projecting a growth for IT jobs in Australia in 2015. It said that persistent market confidence and a number of digital and security projects will certainly increase IT hiring throughout the year. 

The report has come from the 2015 edition of Robert Walters' Global Salary Survey that has overseen a number of professions. The survey unfurled that the market scenario is set to stimulate IT sector in 2015, with some firms in finance and banking services are moving away from off shoring. 

The survey revealed that the permanent salaries in IT sector throughout the country are expected to increase by 1.6 percent this year when compared to last year. And, the growth rate is expected to be high in Melbourne. 

A survey by Robert Walters unveiled that around 20 percent of IT professionals are expecting a salary hike of four to six percent in 2015 and 15 percent of those are anticipating a salary increase of around ten percent. And, five percent were anticipating an increase over 16 percent. 

According to Robert Walters' Sydney based IT director, Peter Bateson, salaries remained constant in 2014, with high salaries are being paid for those with niche skill sets, domain, industry specific knowledge and communication skills at both IT as well as business levels.
