Reporting to the Director, SMB Direct Sales; this role holds strategic importance within NSW and the growth opportunity within the market.

 

As our Sales Manager you will grow and lead a team of Cloud Sales Specialist (CSS) selling into the SMB segment (20 -150 employees, size organizations). In addition to selling Cloud services the team will also have the ability to pull through Fixed Voice, Data, Mobile and traditional PABX.    
Focusing on the SMB (20 – 150 employees) segment, the Sales Manager has overall accountability for revenue growth through the development and implementation of customer and prospect growth strategies in NSW, through identifying opportunities to sell cloud services directly selling or working with our key partners to grow revenue.
You will lead, coach and develop a team to ensure they meet and exceed their business targets and executes strategies to grow Optus market share.  
Success in this role will be evident through the achievement of revenue growth targets, increased penetration of services into the Optus SMB customer base and a high level of staff engagement of the team.

We are looking for an experienced and astute Sales Manager with a successful track record and in Business Development / Sales/  Account Management/  Technical Marketing /  Service within a Corporate Business environment.
Proven track record of successful sales results in leading a team with the ICT/Cloud Services market, in addition to strong capabilities in solution/relationship/insight selling to both existing and new customers is essential.
You will have the ability to effectively differentiate from our competitors by understanding and clearly articulating the Optus Cloud story and a proven ability to engage with Senior Executives both internally and externally.
Commercially astute and consultative with a sound understanding of business drivers and complex business solutions.
High level negotiation skills and excellent verbal, written, presentation and effective listening skills.
