Role Summary

Are you a proactive Corporate IT Manager who thrives in a fast paced and ever changing technology environment? Can you picture yourself being the IT Project Lead building our global footprint and supporting our expanding operations in the US and UK?

This exciting role will report to our CTO and lead our Corporate IT team. Day to day you will oversee the installation, configuration, and ongoing operation of the technologies which are required by the Herjavec Group business, as well as lead our future IT developments and strategy. This role will connect with a wide array of internal and external partners so you will be a skilled communicator and work accurately under pressure.

- Ensure the proper installation, configuration, and ongoing operation of technologies required by the Herjavec Group business.

- Ensure technologies are operating, healthy, and within utilization specifications.

- Ensure support contracts are up to date and maintained.

- Track Herjavec Group assets and asset assignment.

- Ensure hardware is refreshed in a timely manner according to Herjavec Group policies.

- Ensure team has the proper training to maintain and operate technologies required by the Herjavec Group business.

- Provide technical guidance and mentor members of the team.

- Develop progression plans to ensure technologies are covered.

- Explain Herjavec Group direction to the team.

- Track team utilization and notify management of concerns in team utilization on a team, or individual basis.

- Provide people management responsibilities to the team, such as tasks related to vacation, lieu time, compensation, training, expenses etc.  This includes co-ordination and approvals.

- Provide internal IT support (server security, software updates, hardware maintenance etc.).

- Technology responsibilities include desktop & device support, domain & account management, email server administration and other tasks as required.

- Ensure the proper resources are available to support the environment at all hours.

Desired Skills and Experience

- Degree/Diploma in Computer Science

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Internal IT support and 2 years leading a team

- Understand core networking concepts and have a strong troubleshooting methodology

- Knowledge in Windows Servers and active directory domains

- Knowledgeable in Email systems such as Exchange both on premise and cloud

- Knowledge of security products and technologies, UNIX system administration – Understand what firewall rule functionality, technologies such as IPTABLES are an asset

- Knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP and basic troubleshooting tools like ping/trace/nmap/wireshark

- Highly motivated to learn new technologies

- Shows passion for customer satisfaction and responsiveness, with a high sense of urgency

- Fanatical attention to detail and follow-up

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Flexible, positive, energetic
