The Essentials

  • An appreciation of and the ability and willingness to promote and support the values and ethos of The Salvation Army.
  • Demonstrated creativity and initiative.
  • Demonstrated experience in Adobe creative suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, as well as other desktop publishing/graphic design software.
  • Tertiary qualifications (at Bachelor or Diploma level) in Graphic Design or at least 3 years' experience in graphic design.
  • Excellent design portfolio demonstrating diversity in client groups
  • Well-developed written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills
  • A professional attitude and presentation, strong team focus with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Ability to design within a team project setting as well as work independently
  • Competency in computer skills including the following: Word, Lotus Notes or similar email program.
  • Demonstrated time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Team player with energy, flexibility and integrity
