Key Responsibilities:  

1) Financial and management reporting

Prepare accurate and timely financial information for company financial reporting purposes
Prepare accurate and timely management reports and data analysis for senior management
Assist with budget preparation and monitor costs while working with management to identify cost savings opportunities
Oversee timely and accurate payments and receivables in accordance with established deadlines
2) Business advisory and compliance

Ensure compliance with all applicable financial laws and regulations in Canada, United States, Mexico and South America and update both the local management team and Head Office Finance team regarding new developments which may give rise to change in risk exposure or working procedures/system modifications
Seek opportunities to enhance the accounting processes
3) Control and risk assessment

Monitor ongoing adherence to management policies and controls over safeguarding assets and risk management and implement additional controls where necessary
Monitor credit exposure on customers and business partners, including participation in the credit evaluation process and development of credit control parameters in ARC, BSP and CASS.
4) People Management

Facilitate continuous improvement and lead team members through these changes
Create a supportive work environment to enable staff to contribute to the overall success of the finance department.
Maintain effective, open communication with various operational departments, Americas Managers and Head Office Financial Services Department
5) Other Duties as assigned


University degree or equivalent in a finance-related field
Member of an internationally recognized professional accounting association
Minimum three (3) years of managerial experience
Experience with large ERP financial systems an asset, SAP preferred
Strong MS Office background with advanced Excel skills
Good command of written and spoken English
Mature with excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical and people management skills
Ability to effectively engage with every level of the organization
Strong problem solving and decision making skills
US and Canadian tax knowledge a definite asset
Right to work in Canada
Able to travel internationally when required
