CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO)

Summary: The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), reports to the SCIHP Board of Directors, the CEO has the responsibility to lead in conjunction with the Board of Directors in the development of Sonoma County Indian Health Project’s company strategies including program planning, implementation of board policy, staff development, enhancement of growth initiatives, new service offerings, technology advancements, fiscal viability of corporate operations, and agency-wide evaluation. The CEO is responsible for a multi-million dollar corporation; ensuring Department Directors manage department budgets, expands revenue generating for the organization, applies for grant funding that may benefit Sonoma County Indian Health Project Inc. Ensures effective systems to track progress, and regularly evaluates program components, so as to measure successes that can be effectively communicated to the Board of Directors. The CEO has the authority to supervise the direction and day-to-day operations of the health center and its staff. In performing supervisory responsibilities, the CEO works closely with the Department Heads, Quality Management Group, and the Chief Administrative Officer (COO).

Qualifications:
Masters in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or Behavioral Science preferred
Five to ten years administrative experience
Ten years experience in ambulatory care, hospital, public health, or Indian Health Service (IHS)
Experience working with Native American Communities

Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
Travel required

Special Qualifications: Must be sensitive to the needs of the Native American Community, which includes their culture, traditions, and background. Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience.
