The Business Analysts are heavily involved in further defining and elaborating any requirements using the agile development methodology ensuring full client engagement and visibility of the final solution to reduce the risk of later change requests. 

 

**Position summary** 

The Business Analyst works with stakeholders from all business units internally and externally to define and document business processes and software requirements for all Markit IM solutions. 

 

**Duties & accountabilities** 

+ Actively contribute in client engagements for business process mapping and requirement workshops. 
+ Challenge all new client requirements and change requests. 
+ Elaborate and deliver clearly defined requirement documents without subsequent change requests. 
+ Work closely with product design & development team to analyze and design functional enhancements. 
+ Provide onsite product consultancy and assist the client with acceptance criteria gathering and support throughout the project life-cycle 
+ Ability to build & maintain strong relationships both internally & externally with clients. 
+ Ability to elicit requirements, identify solutions & complete requirement documentation. 
+ Ability to take ownership of a client from initiation to go live, through business process mapping, requirements analysis, UAT, go live support. 
+ Understand the underlying business, implementation & product usage of assigned client/s. 
+ Delivery focused with good time management and personal organisational skills. 
+ Share business knowledge with all members of the implementation team, and the wider organization when required. 
+ Represents Business Analyst team at relevant agile stand ups and planning meetings. 
+ Provides assistance and business expertise to the Support Team and the QA Team in verifying client reported issues and internally raised issues. 
+ Demonstrates new product features to Clients, Product Management, Training and Sales teams 
+ Travel will be required. 

 

**Business competencies** 

**Education and experience** 

+ Third level degree in relevant business/finance discipline. 
+ 6 years’ + experience as a Business Architect/ Analyst/Implementation Consultant in the financial services sector 
+ Experience in Securities Services/Corporate Actions implementations 
+ Experience of industry standard interfaces (e.g. SWIFT, XML) 
+ User acceptance testing experience 
+ Understanding and experience of the agile software development process and overall project life cycle
